Brazil's CADE to review 10-year engineering cartel investigation

By Henrique Santiago ( April 23, 2025, 18:50 GMT | Insight) -- Councilor Victor Oliveira Fernandes requested a review of the probe into Rio Grande do Norte after CADE President, Alexandre Cordeiro Macedo voted to close the case in today’s session. Cordeiro took over the case following the end of the term of former lead Councilor Luis Henrique Bertolino Braido in late 2023. Braido had voted to convict seven companies and individuals. A 10-year investigation of an alleged bid-rigging scheme for engineering services in Rio Grande do Norte will be examined by the national competition authority....
