Ex-Epic Games employee seeks to quash trial subpoena in US FTC-Meta fight

( March 27, 2025, 00:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Kimberly Baumgarten, a former employee of Epic Games, has argued to a federal judge in Washington, DC, that her trial subpoena for the Federal Trade Commission's antitrust case against Meta should be quashed because the burden it imposes overwhelms the utility of the testimony sought by Meta and a substitute for her live testimony exists. Baumgarten joined a joint motion to quash trial subpoenas filed on behalf of non-party witnesses employed by Alphabet, Apple, Discord, Nextdoor Holdings, Pinterest, Quora, TikTok and X Corp. The FTC and Meta are scheduled to face off at a trial starting April 14.See court filing. ...
