Botex ordered to stop anticompetitive conduct in Denmark

( March 26, 2025, 14:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Botex, a Danish home-textiles chain whose members are independent retailers, breached antitrust rules, the national Competition Council confirmed today. Botex was found to have limited the ability of its member stores to advertise in each others’ geographic areas, over a period of at least 12 years. The council reassessed the case after the Competition Appeals Tribunal remitted it in 2023. Botex must immediately stop the illegal conduct and refrain from such practices in the future. The council will also bring the case to the Maritime and Commercial court to decide on a fine for Botex.Statement follows. ...
