Defendant in alleged US bid-rigging conspiracy in Idaho pleads guilty

( March 26, 2025, 02:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Kris Bird, who was charged with conspiring to rig bids and allocate territories in violation of the Sherman Act, has pled guilty, according to a court's order. The conspiracy is alleged to have affected contracts for forest-firefighting services. In the order, US District Judge Amanda Brailsford of the US District Court for the District of Idaho accepted the guilty plea. "Having conducted the change of plea hearing and having inquired of Defendant, his counsel, and counsel for the United States, the Court concludes that there is a factual basis for Defendant’s plea of guilty; it was entered voluntarily and with full knowledge of the consequences; and the Court accepts the plea," the judge said. The court document is attached. ...
