Lithuanian fines on Giantera, others to be recovered by bailiffs

( March 25, 2025, 14:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Fines imposed last year on Giantera and two of its dealers, Eko 123 and Operos vaistinė, for agreeing not to undercut the supplier’s prices when selling its food supplements and cosmetic products will be recovered by bailiffs, the Lithuanian antitrust agency said today. Last year, Giantera and 19 trade partners were fined more than 1.4 million euros for the conduct, which lasted from 2015 to 2022 and also included not offering discounts and promotions to consumers. The watchdog said it is referring the case to bailiffs as the three companies have neither paid the fines on time nor submitted a bank guarantee. Such referrals are not subject to appeal, it said.
