Munich court rules in favor of VoiceAge in HMD patent dispute

The case centers on whether VoiceAge’s licensing terms for a 4G voice call patent met fair licensing obligations, with potential implications for the EU’s Huawei v ZTE framework. Judges declined to take up a European Commission suggestion that the case be sent to the EU court in Luxembourg for clarification.
