Nitrogénművek sees Hungarian regulator start cartel probe review
( March 18, 2025, 10:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Hungary’s antitrust authority has begun reconsidering a probe into fertilizer supplier Nitrogénművek’s conduct, the watchdog confirmed to MLex today. Last year, the Budapest Metropolitan Court partly upheld an appeal by the company against a fine of 11 billion forint ($30 million) for restricting competition on the domestic market. The court ordered the watchdog to restart proceedings to look into the extent of the price fixing and market sharing as well as the amount of the fine imposed.Statement follows (in Hungarian). ...
