US DOJ's asphalt paving industry antitrust probe chalks up 10th guilty plea

Timothy Baugher, former president of Pontiac-based Asphalt Specialists LLC, conspired with Allied Construction Company and employees from those companies to rig bids in each other’s favor from July 2017 to May 2021, the DOJ said in a statement. Baugher pleaded guilty to one count of violating Section 1 of the Sherman Act and faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $1 million criminal fine....
