Netgear joins Sisvel patent pool ending Huawei WiFi 6 patent dispute

By joining the pool, Netgear gains access to standard essential patents, avoiding direct negotiations or further litigation with Huawei. In December, courts in China and the EU had previously ruled in Huawei’s favor. Both companies have also requested a stay of US litigation, signaling a global settlement may be imminent.Netgear has joined Sisvel’s patent pool for standard essential patents, or SEPs, required for WiFi 6, marking a significant step toward ending litigation between the American tech company and Huawei....
