Quadvest moves for new trial in US water utilities case against San Jacinto River Authority

( November 15, 2024, 23:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Quadvest has moved for a new trial in its US monopolization claims against San Jacinto River Authority over wholesale water supplies in Montgomery County. In its filing to the Southern District of Texas, Quadvest claimed a Texas federal judge's findings of fact and conclusions of law "include manifest errors," and that "newly discovered evidence since trial materially and directly contradicts some of the findings and conclusions." The findings and conclusions erroneously suggest Quadvest waived its theory in the case, and SJRA knew Quadvest would pursue federal antitrust claims and allowed their trying by consent, it said.
