Thirty-two new trade investigations were launched, slightly below the record high in 2024. The increased demand for trade defense shows the rise in unfair trade practices harming the EU industry, particularly in the chemical sector, which accounted for more than a third of the new cases launched in 2025, the regulator said, adding that the high level of activity continues to exert pressure on its trade-defense services.
