Premier Li Qiang told a national advanced-manufacturing conference in Beijing that China should focus on next-generation smart manufacturing, pursue greater technological self-reliance and support companies’ digital transformation. The government will also strengthen research into key technologies, expand emerging industries, develop future industries and upgrade traditional sectors, Li said.
