Indonesia's Mobil123, Carmudi, Carsome face KPPU discrimination case over rival access

Indonesia Competition Commission, or KPPU, said it has opened proceedings on Tuesday over suspected discriminatory practices prohibited by the country’s competition law. KPPU investigators allege Mobil123 operator PT Mobil Satu Asia and Carmudi operator PT Car Classifieds Indonesia restricted access for businesses considered competitors of PT Car Some Indonesia. Investigators said the three companies have corporate links and overlapping directors or commissioners. The restrictions allegedly reduced customer traffic and sales for affected dealers.
