Apple gets sanctions against attorney in US antitrust case over search services

( September 3, 2026, 21:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Nonparty Apple was granted sanctions against one plaintiff attorney in a US case over Google's alleged illegal foreclosure of competition in US general search services. Magistrate Judge Sallie Kim found that plaintiffs did not act in good faith and had no substantial justification when issuing the subpoenas to Apple's executives in November 2025. Kim only agreed to sanction the attorney, Joseph Alioto, because plaintiffs' counsel designated him the decisionmaker in issuing repeated subpoenas. See attached file....
