Hotel operator warned in China's Hunan Province over WeChat-data violations

Its WeChat mini-program collected and used personal data without consent, processed information beyond what was necessary and failed to publish channels for complaints and reports. The company also failed to encrypt or de-identify members’ names, phone numbers and other information during transmission and storage, retain required network logs or establish adequate internal controls.
