OceanaGold proposes to acquire in Ausgold in $551m deal
( August 18, 2026, 07:59 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Canada-headquartered OceanaGold on Monday notified the Australian Securities Exchange that it has agreed to fully acquire Perth-based Ausgold through a court-approved scheme of arrangement, valuing the Australian gold developer at about A$776 million ($551 million) on a fully diluted basis. The deal would give OceanaGold ownership of Ausgold’s flagship Katanning Gold Project in Western Australia, which has 2.44 million ounces of mineral resources and 1.33 million ounces of ore reserves, Ausgold said. The transaction is subject to Australian Competition & Consumer Commission review and other conditions, including foreign investment, shareholder and court approvals.Disclosure attached....
