( August 18, 2026, 06:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meta Platforms has filed its planned witness list for the high-takes social media and child privacy trial brought by 29 states that starts Tuesday in Oakland, California. Among the 20 hours of fact witnesses that Meta plans to call from its staff are Instagram chief Adam Mosseri, who would spend the most time on the witness stand at three hours. Other Meta fact witnesses will include its Chief Privacy Officer Michel Protti scheduled to testify for two hours, along with Antigone Davis, global head of safety; Allison Hartnett, director of product management for youth; and Sayed Otaru, director of product staff for Instagram teen accounts, all spending two hours on the witness stand. Meta plans 15.5 hours of testimony from its expert witness, and also plans to call state officials from across the country to testify for a total of seven hours about how the states use social media for beneficial purposes, as well as the states' lack of knowledge about the number of children under 13 on Meta's platforms.See attached document....
