( August 17, 2026, 05:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesia's Anti-Dumping Committee has initiated an antidumping investigation into imports of superabsorbent polymers from China after finding preliminary evidence of increased imports and injury to the domestic industry, the Trade Ministry said Friday. The investigation follows a petition from PT Nippon Shokubai Indonesia and will examine imports between Jan. 1, 2022 and Dec. 31, 2025. Indonesia imported 570,543 metric tons of the polymers during the period, with China accounting for about 62 percent, or 354,918 tons. The investigation is expected to take 12 months and may be extended to 18 months if necessary.
