Snow app operators receive corrective order in Japan over undisclosed paid posts

The Consumer Affairs Agency said South Korea-based Snow Corporation and Snow Japan paid influencers to post positive comments about the Snow app on X without indicating that the posts were part of a paid campaign. The consumer watchdog determined that the practice constituted stealth marketing, which is prohibited under Japan's law against misleading representations.
