French data regulator appoints five new board members

( August 6, 2026, 09:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: France’s data regulator has appointed five new members to its board to start on Aug. 2, replacing five outgoing members whose terms are expiring after five years. The CNIL said it had tapped supreme court councillor Marie-Luce Cavrois, Marion Fourtune from the country's largest federation of environmental associations, legal academic Arnaud Latil, computer science academic Benjamin Nguyen and state councillor Éric Thiers. They will replace Sophie Lambremon, Aminata Niakaté, Anne Debet, Claude Castelluccia, and Bertrand du Marais, it said in a statement.Statement follows (in French)....
