Australia reviews whether Telstra should share mobile network with rivals

Telstra, which owns Australia's largest mobile network, reiterated its opposition, while TPG and Optus welcomed the review as an opportunity to examine how greater network sharing and emerging technologies could support competition and investment. The inquiry follows renewed calls for the watchdog to revisit an issue it previously declined to regulate.Telstra could be required to give rivals access to its mobile network under an inquiry led by Australia's antitrust watchdog into whether greater network sharing would improve competition and mobile coverage in regional areas....
