Chinese commerce ministry responds to EU €550m AliExpress fine

The ministry said it opposed what it described as the EU’s use of platform regulation to create digital barriers and adopt discriminatory measures against Chinese e-commerce companies. It urged the EU to stop abusing discretionary powers arising from ambiguous legal provisions, to treat Chinese companies fairly and said China would support its companies in defending their rights through legal means while taking firm measures to protect their interests.Statement follows (in Chinese). ...
