AliExpress fined record €550m as EU Commission closes illegal products probe

The European Commission has concluded the remaining part of an investigation into the company after accepting commitments on other aspects of the case last year. AliExpress called the fine "disproportionate" and said it was "considering all available options" to respond.AliExpress received a record EU online content fine on Monday after the European Commission concluded that the online marketplace had failed to properly assess and reduce the risks of illegal, unsafe and counterfeit products being sold on its platform....
