( July 20, 2026, 04:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Statement: Indonesia's Coordinating Economic Affairs Minister Airlangga Hartarto held separate meetings with Huawei and ByteDance in Shanghai to expand cooperation on artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure and technology investment following Indonesia's accession as a founding member of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization. In a statement late Friday, the ministry said discussions with Huawei focused on AI and cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital-skills development and data-center technologies, while talks with ByteDance covered AI research, large language models, machine learning and support for Indonesia's digital economy.
