UK lawyer charged with insider dealing over Seraphine acquisition

Bloomfield, a 38-year-old solicitor, is alleged to have used confidential information acquired while advising on Seraphine Group’s acquisition to trade in the company's securities on five occasions in 2022 and 2023. He appeared at Westminster Magistrates court but did not indicate how he would plead, and he is now due to appear at Southwark Crown Court on Aug. 5.
