US judge sends Ticketmaster suit from ticket buyers, sellers to arbitration
( June 30, 2026, 00:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: An antitrust lawsuit brought against Live Nation Entertainment and subsidiary Ticketmaster by three individuals who bought or sold concert tickets second hand can't proceed in federal court, a US judge ruled in granting the defendants' motion to compel arbitration. The three people allege that Ticketmaster is a monopolist that drives up the prices of tickets and fees on the secondary market. They "agreed to arbitrate their claims against defendants when they agreed to Ticketmaster’s terms of use," US District Judge Arun Subramanian wrote in an opinion and order. "That agreement delegates the question of arbitrability to the arbitrator. And none of the customers has shown that the delegation clause is unenforceable," he said. See court document. ...
