David Rowntree, known as the drummer from British rock band Blur, had sought compensation from the Performing Rights Society for thousands of songwriters over “black box” royalties. He had appealed a ruling from August last year in which the Competition Appeal Tribunal found several reasons why the claim should not be allowed to proceed to trial.Ruling attached....
