EU should provide more climate funding for developing countries, lawmakers say

In a statement, which they said would form the basis of the parliament’s position ahead of the 2026 UN High-Level Political Forum July 7-15, the committees on Development and on the Environment, Climate and Food Safety said EU states should also investigate opportunities to raise funding through the private sector and the leveraging of private finance.
