US trade court orders Customs to update refund process for final entries
( May 28, 2026, 19:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Court of International Trade Judge Richard Eaton said Customs and Border Protection must update its progress toward implementing refunds for finally liquidated entries paid as now-illegal tariffs under the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act. Eaton gave the federal agency a June 10 deadline to file. CBP has completed more than $20 billion in IEEPA refunds and is processing tens of billions more in the first phase of its refund process, which does not include finally liquidated entries.See attached order....
