Only 4% of Australians trust AI companies, privacy regulator finds

( May 28, 2026, 06:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Artificial intelligence is a widely recognized privacy risk, with trust in AI companies at just 4 percent in Australia, according to a report from the country's privacy regulator published Thursday. In a statement, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner said the report is based on the Australian Community Attitudes to Privacy Survey, which the regulator conducts every three years.
