California AG Rob Bonta and the US Department of Justice announced they had reached a merger settlement between the two concrete companies in California, CalPortland and Vulcan Materials Co. The merger posed competition concerns, including whether the consolidation would lessen market competition, and lead to higher prices and reduced quality.
