Ju Biung-ghi, chairman of the Korea Fair Trade Commission, said Thursday at an inter-ministerial price-stability taskforce meeting that the KFTC recently conducted on-site inspections on four major PVC and plasticizer manufacturers and distributors, and that supplementary investigations are underway. Ju also said the agency is scheduled to deliberate in early July on allegations of collusion among starch-syrup makers. The agency sent examiners’ reports in March to Daesang, Sajo CPK, Samyang Corporation and CJ CheilJedang over the alleged collusion.
