Germany’s €5b decarbonization support wins EU approval

The program applies to companies introducing “fundamental technological changes” to replace fossil fuels with low-carbon alternatives. Benefiting projects must deliver at least 50 percent emissions reductions within four years, and 85 percent within 15 years. “Today’s decision supports industry in making the shift to cleaner production while keeping a clear focus on efficiency and fairness,” European Commission competition chief Teresa Ribera said.Statement follows....
