X must grant user access to his own data or face daily fine, Dutch court says

( April 14, 2026, 10:34 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: X must allow a user who was suspended from the platform in 2023 to access all their own data or the company will face a fine of €4,000 for every day it does not comply, a Dutch court has said. After being suspended from the platform, the user -- a known privacy activist -- was denied his request for access to his information due to what the company said was possible “company secrets”, and only received about 10 percent of his data held by the platform. Both the Amsterdam lower court and the court of appeal have ruled that the user should be allowed full access to his information.Statement follows, decision attached (both in Dutch)....
