Salesforce-Qualified merger cleared in Australia following January's waiver refusal

( March 18, 2026, 03:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Customer relationship management-software provider Salesforce's proposed acquisition of US-based Qualified.com has been approved by the Australian competition regulator following the watchdog’s refusal to grant a waiver in January. In a determination issued on Tuesday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said there is limited horizontal overlap between Salesforce and Qualified in the supply of conversation automation services in Australia. Both Salesforce and Qualified supply conversation-automation solutions for business-to-business uses, which integrate with Salesforce’s customer relationship management software. In January, the regulator refused the notification-waiver application, finding that the extent of the parties’ ability or incentive to foreclose rivals required further consideration.Determination is attached....
