The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission said in a statement on Thursday that the framework mandates biometric authentication, MyDigital ID self-registration and stricter controls for non-Malaysian users, including passport verification. It also lowers SIM ownership caps, restricts child registrations and limits tourist SIM validity to three months.
