Porn site operator AVS Group fined £1m in UK for online age-check failings

( December 4, 2025, 09:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: AVS Group, which operates 18 pornography websites, has been fined £1 million by UK regulator Ofcom for failing to put in robust age checks required under the Online Safety Act. The watchdog fined it a further £50,000 for failing to respond to information requests. Ofcom found that each of its websites either had no age assurance measures or inadequate ones. AVS Group has 72 hours to implement highly effective age assurance or face an additional fine of £1,000 per day. The company will also be charged £300 per day for not paying the information request fine.Enforcement decision follows....
