Redbook, Bilibili told to pull thousands of real-estate posts in Shanghai cleanup drive

( December 4, 2025, 02:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Chinese online platforms including Xiaohongshu, or Redbook, and Bilibili have been ordered by Shanghai authorities to remove more than 40,000 posts that officials say distorted housing policies or spread negative narratives about the property market, and to act against over 70,000 noncompliant real-estate accounts and more than 1,200 livestream rooms, according to the city’s internet regulator. The moves follow a campaign launched Nov. 14 by Shanghai's internet, public security and housing and land regulators to curb unlawful online dissemination of real-estate information.
