WhatsApp dominance abuse confirmed, but Indian tribunal overturns 5-year data-sharing ban

While the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal upheld the penalty imposed by the antitrust watchdog, it struck down the five-year ban on data sharing imposed by the Competition Commission of India, saying it is not sustainable. The CCI had fined the WhatsApp and its parent company, Meta Platforms, $25.25 million last November.
