Plaintiffs suing Amazon say case schedule is 'prejudicial' to class members

( October 30, 2025, 19:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Private plaintiffs suing Amazon for alleged antitrust violations urged a Washington federal judge to order the parties to meet and confer and submit a revised proposed pretrial schedule that allows for trial in early 2027. The trial is scheduled to begin in June 2027. "As the schedule currently stands, Plaintiffs will not try their claims until after 19 attorneys general have tried the [most-favored-nation] claims initiated by Plaintiffs’ counsel," the plaintiffs wrote in a court filing. "This schedule is prejudicial to class members because Amazon has indicated it will argue that the adjudication of the States’ claims resolves or limits claims by class members who are residents of those states — even though the monetary relief class members may receive under the state statutes provides a lesser recovery than they would receive if they proceeded as a class member." See court document. ...
