In a statement on Tuesday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said Fulton Hogan is a civil construction and infrastructure provider. The regulator said it usually acts as head contractor, overseeing projects and subcontracting specialized work such as aeronautical ground lighting, and is sometimes engaged just for construction. Aeronautical ground lighting systems, which guide aircraft, are supplied and maintained by providers such as Avionics, either directly for airports or via head contractors.
