Singapore passes cybersecurity amendments to expand coverage, anticipate future risks

It expands coverage to virtual computer systems, CII located overseas that supports an essential service in Singapore, and providers of essential services who rely on CII owned by third parties. The amendments also allow the government to regulate "systems of temporary cybersecurity concern," such as those used to distribute vaccines during a pandemic or high-key international events.
