Japan's Fujisash receives corrective recommendation for Subcontract Act violation

( July 24, 2025, 07:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Japan’s leading aluminum-sash window manufacturer, Fujisash, received a corrective recommendation today for violating the Subcontract Act. The Japan Fair Trade Commission said that the company unfairly returned finished components to 20 subcontractors, with the total value of these components and associated shipping fees amounting to 4.2 million yen (approximately $29,000). In addition, the publicly traded company compelled 46 subcontractors to store 7,789 metal and other molds — which were rarely used — for an extended period without paying storage fees. The JFTC instructed Fujisash to compensate for the affected subcontractors' financial losses and to implement preventive measures.
