China suspends export controls on rare earths, lithium-battery, superhard materials

( November 10, 2025, 02:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China on Friday suspended export controls announced in October on several strategic materials and technologies, including certain superhard-material items, rare-earth production equipment and raw or auxiliary materials, five heavy and medium rare-earth elements such as holmium, erbium and thulium, and items related to lithium batteries and graphite anode materials. The Ministry of Commerce also paused implementation of controls on rare-earth-related technologies, and exports of rare-earth materials linked to China by foreign exporters to other countries or regions, which would have required foreign buyers to obtain dual-use export licenses.The statement follows:...
