ByteDance, TikTok Inc. get US investors' antitrust lawsuit dismissed

( October 31, 2025, 16:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: ByteDance and TikTok Inc. were granted dismissal of US investors' antitrust lawsuit over a sham partnership structure between the defendants, which allegedly allocated the short video social media market between ByteDance and Oracle while excluding potential acquirers of TikTok Global. The plaintiffs have been granted multiple extensions, over defendants' objections, to obtain legal counsel after having withdrawn from the action and extended deadlines, and they were warned that failure to find counsel in a timely manner would likely result in dismissal of the lawsuit, US District Judge Raag Singhal said. "To date, no notice of appearance has been filed," Singhal said, before dismissing the claims without prejudice.See attached document....
