Proposals set out in 2023 that would require larger firms to set diversity targets and report D&I data were criticized by lawmakers and the industry. With a new government in power and an unrelenting focus on economic growth, Emily Shepperd of the Financial Conduct Authority signaled today that the regulator could, at least for now, be aligning its approach to D&I more closely with the government's plans.UK financial services providers can expect to see work on diversity and inclusion revived, after a Financial Conduct Authority official today said the regulator was considering its next actions following a 2023 consultation on the subject....
