Corporate sustainability simplification rules agreed by EU lawmakers, states

( December 9, 2025, 09:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: EU lawmakers and governments have reached a deal on measures aimed to ease companies’ sustainability obligations, notably the simplification of the directives on corporate sustainability reporting and corporate sustainability due diligence. The agreement narrows the scope of companies covered by the rules, removes climate-plan requirements, narrows liability risks and delays enforcement.
