EU energy sector to get EUR1.2 billion for cross-border infrastructure projects

( January 30, 2025, 16:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission has said it's earmarked more than 1.2 billion euros ($1.3 billion) in grants to 41 cross-border energy infrastructure projects, which have obtained a special status under the revised Trans-European Network for Energy regulation. Under such status, these projects benefit from faster permitting procedures and EU funding.
