NBA loses bid for US Supreme Court review of VPPA loss

( December 8, 2025, 17:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Supreme Court has denied a petition for certiorari from the National Basketball Association seeking the high court's review of litigation that accuses the league of violating the Video Privacy Protection Act by disclosing a website user’s information — a case the NBA argued the Supreme Court should hear because an appeals court split over the applicability of the VPPA. The denial isn't the final word on the case, however, because plaintiff Michael Salazar has another cert petition pending, which he argues is a better vehicle for review.See attached document....
