South Korean privacy watchdog proposes legal reforms to facilitate AI data use

Other work has been underway to reclassify biometric data and expand foreign data-transfer methods, Ko Hak-soo, the chairman of the Personal Information Protection Commission, told MLex in an exclusive interview.   One of the biggest challenges for businesses embarking on projects that leverage massive datasets and AI technology is ensuring that these projects comply with privacy laws.
